SW1 HQ

SW1 PRODUCTIONS started with a goal, and that was to bring more live Music to the South West.

Formed in 2004  SW1 Productions began with the aim of bringing the best contemporary live music to a region that was otherwise being overlooked by many bands/agents on their touring schedule.

Many years later and they are bringing more live music to the region than ever, with many successful shows under their belts with some of the biggest names in music.

SW1 work closely with Vision Nine Presents (NASS Festival, Boardmasters Festival) as head programmers for both festivals and work with Vision Nine's Music team to program over 500 acts each year. SW1 have been an integral part in the growth of both festivals.

Also providing Artist Liaison/Advancing services, SW1 pride themselves on working with agents/artists through the entire process, from initial enquiry to the show itself.  They have earned a reputation within the touring sector for attention to detail and for delivering professionally run shows.

MEET THE TEAM...

Katy Barnes - Before relocating to Cornwall in the early 90's Katy worked for Arista Records for a number of years in both A&R and Marketing roles.  There she cemented her love of live music and working closely with new and established artists.  In 1993 she moved to Cornwall to start working with Surfers Against Sewage and was responsible for producing and programming the SAS Ball (a legendary fundraising event for enviromental pressure group members). In 2004 she began SW1 with which now promotes over 50 artists in the region as well as programming some of the biggest names in music for the Boardmasters & Nass Festivals.

Liam Jolly - A well established figure in the local music scene, Liam joined SW1 in 2008 - an artist himself who, having played in various bands over the years, had a geniune drive to improve the local music scene and worked tirelessly setting up club nights and working with local bands to build a thriving scene. Liam is one half of Wolf Note (a two piece rock outfit getting a lot of attention from the music industry) perfoms in the the Bowie Lounge and alongside all of this continues to receive critical accliam for his visual art, both on a local and national level.

Julie Rudin - Julie joined the team in 2009 and handles the day to day workings at SW1 HQ. Julie took time out from the music business to have children, but before that worked locally at Solo Records in Truro. Before moving to Cornwal Julie worked at Nomis Recording Studios in London. Julie is experienced with running artist areas at the festivals that SW1 program and oversee's the hospitality/riders for a large number of artists.

Eve Thomas - Eve joined the team in 2018 and is our youngest/newest member, bringing her own love of music to the office. Eve has an incredible ear for spotting new talent and the only one of the team that has a true understanding of soclal media! Eve will be heading off to Australia in the New Year to do an Internship with Warners Record label for 6 months, but we are hoping she will return!
