"Young laidback and talented Rob Sawyer's on track to becoming Australia's next acoustic roots hero." Australian Guitar Magazine July 2005
Talented Australian artist Rob Sawyer (not to be confused with the Canadian Science Fiction writer of the same name!) is to play some small shows in Cornwall at the end of July. At the tender age of 22, Rob has already toured his homeland with Donavon Frankenrieter and Carus and The True Believers, played a huge array of festivals in Australia, undertaken a solo tour of Europe and New Zealand and released not only two successful eps and a full length studio album but also started his own label.
Having just returned home after cycling part way round Australia on an "environmentally friendly music touring adventure", Rob is keen to get back to Europe to play his fingerstyle acoustic style music mixed with reggae vibrations. For an artist who has not chased notoriety, instead very much an individual who'd prefer to let his fingers do the talking, Rob Sawyer has quickly made a name for himself as a live entity. His show has become a word of mouth groundswell.
He will appear at the following venues:
