Rip Curl Boardmasters announce stunning festival line-up for 'Unleashed' 08/09th August, Watergate Bay, Nr Newquay

We've been busy here at SW1 Towers these last few months programming the line-up for this year's Rip Curl Boardmasters 'Unleashed' Music Festival... here's the latest announcement by organisers...

Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed music festival returns to the iconic Watergate Bay site on August 8th and 9th 2008 for its 4th consecutive year and welcomes another impressive line-up of over 45 internationally renowned acts. The festival site has grown substantially since its creation in 2004 with headliners Razorlight and James Blunt playing to an intimate sell-out crowd of just 5,000 people. Since then, the festival has developed significantly with the addition of two further stages; a Cornish based organic catering area, surf movie lounge, surf inspired art fair and board shaping demonstrations from local based shapers.

Event organiser, Andrew Topham, accredits the festivals success stating, "we are keen to move away from the atmosphere of a big gig, we want to give people an all-day festival experience at a reasonable price, this year we will have 45 plus major bands and artists playing across three stages for a weekend ticket price of only £54.99. This is a great opportunity to see some big name acts that don't normally make it down to Cornwall against a stunning backdrop of over 15 miles of Cornish coastline."

Rounding off a strong music line-up, Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed will also play host to an impressive action sports arena, where audiences can take-in breath taking displays from the best athletes in wakeboarding, FMX, skate and mountain biking.
