Max Tuohy (pronounced 2 e!) - who e?... Well according to record company bosses at Ugly Truth Records (the home of Newton Faulkner), is "a name to watch for 2009"
Described as "A young beatboxing Jack Johnson with the soulful vocal of David Gray" Max Tuohy will be doing a handful of dates in Cornwall next week:-
Sept:
10th - Boujis, Truro
11th - Tap House, St Agnes
12th - Sandsifter, Godrevy
13th - Miss Peapods, Falmouth
His limited edition debut single "Run Over" will be available to buy at the gigs, the sleeve artwork has been designed and printed in Cornwall. The single is 7" only but comes with a free digital download.
Max is due to record his debut album following on from these Cornwall dates - which record company spokeman James Roberts say's " since finding and signing Newton Faulkner, who largely grew out of the Cornish Music scene, the industry has begun to recognise the area as a perfect 'testing ground' for new upcoming talent - audiences in Cornwall are always willing to listen to new artists and do not seem to be swayed by trends or music critics, they make up their own minds!".
Entry to all the gigs is free.
