Support for The Leveller's December 3rd show at the Hall For Cornwall has been announced.
First up are folk-rock band Divokej Bill from the Czech Republic www.divokejbill.cz who have been heralded by some as the 'Czech version of The Pogues'.
Perhaps the Gem for all Cornish music fans is that the superbly talented Frank Turner will also be performing. Last seen in Truro at the Cuckoo Club in 2007, Frank has been a firm favorite of co-promoters for the show, SW1 Productions.
"Finally it looks like Frank Turner is getting the recognition he truly deserves" says Katy Thomas from Truro based SW1 Productions.
Frank Turner recently released new single 'Long Live The Queen' is a heartfelt, poignant story of a close friend passing away from breast cancer. Though a hard subject, Frank has written the song as a way of celebrating his friend's life and the legacy she has left behind. Lexi tirelessly campaigned and fundraised for breast cancer charities, starting money-raising all day rock-fest Lexapalooza (which her friends now continue in her honour). It's with this inspiration that Frank and Xtra Mile Recordings will be donating proceeds from the sale of the single to the Breast Cancer Campaign charity.
The single has gathered support across all radio stations including Evening playlist at XFM and sessions on 6Music. Sara Cox (who is covering for Jo Whiley's daytime Radio 1 show) made it her Record Of The Week and it has been added to the Upfront playlist as well as being played by long time supporters Mike Davies and Zane Lowe.

The Levellers kick off their 15 date UK tour in Truro to promote their recently released 'Letters From The Underground' album.
"The punked-up folk sound is as bristly as ever...Burn America Burn is a brilliant slice of fiery pop reminiscent of late Clash" (Letters from the Underground) Classic Rock 9/10
The Levellers have seen a renaissance with their live career in recent years. 2008 sees them airing the new songs and old favourites from their hit-rich back catalogue. They headlined a couple of festivals this Summer, including their own sell-out 'Beautiful Days' festival and performed at the Royal Albert Hall in September before embarking on a European and UK winter tour.
There are literally only a couple of hundred tickets left of this show – it will be one not to miss!!
